ProductsSVGA+ OLED Microdisplays - the standard for energy-
efficiency, delivers high-resolution, flicker-free images, even under adverse conditions. The 852x600 pixel microdisplay comes on instantly at -40°C. It accepts dc-coupled RGB, as well as NTSC- and PAL-compatible composite monochrome. It is available full color and in monochrome green, yellow, or white; configurations include either a glass or fiber optic faceplate. A fiber optic taper is also available to increase the image area.

SVGA OLED-XL™ Microdisplays - employ eMagin’s original active matrix SVGA 3D and SVGA+ integrated circuits. The new microdisplays combine advanced OLED materials with new device structures to yield significant improvements in lifetime and luminance – typically 6-10x longer luminance half-life and exhibit 3-5x improvement in efficiency, depending on the specific product and operating parameters. At 60 cd/m2, a full-color SVGA+ or SVGA 3D OLED-XL display running at 60 Hz requires less than 250 mW.

Interface & Design Reference Kit

Interface & Design Reference Kit - offers the easiest, most complete approach to working with all eMagin’s microdisplays. The IDRK is available in two configurations – monocular or binocular. Developers can use either configuration with any eMagin OLED or OLED-XL microdisplay. The kit also includes developer-level technical support, including schematics and software to create and save custom register settings. Hardware and software brightness controls, field-upgradeable firmware, and a sensor that reads ambient temperature at the microdisplay location complete the package. Both kits can be powered by USB or a 5V DC adapter.

Optics

WFO5 Prism Optic - provides a lightweight, low-cost solution for near-eye viewing devices. It simultaneously corrects for geometric distortions and aberrations, while delivering the full SVGA resolution provided by eMagin’s SVGA+ and SVGA 3D OLED microdisplays. The WFO5’s folded optical path and short focal length allow the single-element optical design to deliver the 40 degree field-of-view. It easily accommodates the OLED microdisplays through an integrated optic/display holder design. The WFO5 optic is available as an individual component or sealed to an eMagin OLED microdisplay as the basis for a compact display system. This Microviewer™ (optic and microdisplay) assembly permits easy sealing against dust and moisture.

Fiber Optic Options - expand the utility of eMagin’s OLED microdisplays, enabling custom face plate designs, custom sizing, and custom configurations of tiled microdisplays. Effectively, these fused bundles of fiber optic strands provide a method of magnifying or reducing an image with minimum distortion. They can be fabricated to customer-specific requirements and can be machined into custom surface configurations for applications with specific optics. Magnification ratios can range up to 3:1.

For many applications tapers provide a cost-effective approach to configuring various sizes of microdisplays without creating custom integrated circuits. Using custom tapers enables configuration of non-planar image surfaces for use with specific optic and system designs.

eMagin offers fiber optic face plates and a fiber optic taper configuration as standard products, and the company has demonstrated custom-tiled displays at UXGA (1600 x 1200 pixels) and double-UXGA (1600 x 2400 pixels). Custom sizes, surface designs, and tiled configurations are available.

Z800 3DVisor™ - provides superb full-color 3D stereovision and headtracking for PC gaming, training and simulation, and other applications. Winner of CEA’s Innovation of Year award in the digital display category and additional recognition in the electronic gaming category, the 3DVisor delivers a high-contrast virtual image equivalent to a 105-inch screen viewed at twelve feet. Its high-speed headtracking provides full 360-degree viewing, enabling users to look around and “move” within the virtual world. Completing the near-immersive experience is an integrated audio system with stereo earbuds and a noise-canceling microphone.
